    We are currently hiring for:

    INDUSTRIAL AIR COMPRESSOR FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

    Our company is seeking a full-time Industrial Air Compressor Field Service Technician who possess mechanical abilities with electrical controls experience. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team with ambition and pride in their work. Field Service Technician Responsibilities Include: Installation, maintenance, troubleshoot and repair of all makes of industrial air compressors, air dryers, and ancillary air system equipment.

    The compressor equipment we work on is typically located in factories, refineries, food processing facilities, pharmaceutical plants, dealerships, and laboratories, both indoors and outdoors.

    Required Field Service Technician skills:

    Minimum of 5 years of mechanical/electrical experience. Troubleshooting of electrical and pneumatic controls. Experience working with 3 phase electric, drive motors, conductors and circuit protection, sizing and installation of conduit, enclosures breakers, transformers, motor starters, etc. Understanding of Ladder Logic (PLC/Relay). Experience with navigating control boards. Variable Speed Drive Installation, troubleshooting, and programming. Reading wiring, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams. Experience with pressure switches, transducers, temperature probes, current monitors, phase monitors, and other feedback devices. AC motor theory, wiring, and fault diagnosis. AC and DC drive installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and/or repair. Equipment installation or other millwright work. Computer skills a must! General PM tasks (filters, oil change, grease, belts, hoses, etc) 

    Additional helpful skills: Refrigeration experience. Sweating copper pipe, pipe threading or other pipework. Welding (TIG, MIG, or Arc). Using shop equipment such as drill press, hydraulic press, oxy/act torch, plasma cutter, band saw, bead blaster, etc. Soldering or electrical repair. Able to safely operate a forklift, high reach, and other equipment.

    Other Abilities candidates should possess: Must be a fast study and able to consistently make decisions in the best interest of the company and our customers. Must be an independent self-starter and diligent to complete assigned tasks without supervision. Must be able to observe quality standards and deliver consistent service. Candidate must have a willingness to work overtime when needed. Work hours can and do vary according to customer needs, which means the candidate must be flexible.

    Training:

    Our company is accommodating to field related school schedules whenever possible. Must possess excellent communication and people skills, both verbal and written, as well as a good attitude and personality. As a representative of the company, the candidate will be expected to be polite, well groomed, and considerate when interacting with customers and the public in general. Must be able to work as part of a team as well as being able to work independently. Must have own tools as well as a valid driver’s license, paired with a good driving record. After completion of training, the technician will be expected to fulfill on-call rotation which carries special pay incentives for after-hours service. Some lifting is required, must be able to lift 50 lbs. Some work is elevated and temperatures can vary from hot to cold. Must be able to work safely in varying environments.

    Salaries will commensurate experience after 90-day training. We are willing to train Industrial mechanics without Industrial Air Compressor experience. Distributor factory training is provided as available. We are only seeking career-minded individuals, we view all employees as an investment.
